Located west of Key West, the Woman Key Sandbar is one of the most scenic and remote sandbar destinations in the Lower Keys. The ride out takes about 35–40 minutes, but the journey is part of the experience as you cruise across beautiful backcountry waters toward one of the clearest sandbar areas in the region.
When you arrive, the views are incredible — crystal-clear turquoise water and bright white sand that often remind guests of the famous waters of the Exumas. The sandbar sits in a wide open area of the Atlantic, giving it a truly untouched and expansive feel with plenty of space to spread out and relax.
Unlike some sandbars, the sand remains underwater even during low tide, creating a large area of shallow water that’s perfect for wading, floating, and enjoying the stunning surroundings.

The nearby “Pelican Show” area is known for sightings of rare American White Pelicans, and a short run away is one of the most consistent dolphin sighting areas near Key West. Just past Man Key, you’ll also find a great snorkeling spot where marine life gathers around the natural structure.
